Week 6 of pregnancy (First Trimester)

By 6 weeks you will begin to experience more symptoms of pregnancy, your breasts will begin to grow in preparation for breastfeeding and may feel tender and uncomfortable. You might also notice that the veins on your breasts are more visible and that the areolas have darkened and got bigger. You may also experience increased vaginal discharge due to an increased blood supply and cervical mucus that occurs at around 6 weeks. Emotionally you may also begin to notice some changes, you might feel extremely happy one minute then quite depressed the next.
Baby:
At 6 weeks your baby is about the size of a small bean. It will have a large head and small dark spots where the eyes and nostrils are beginning to form. The babies ears will also be beginning to form and its hands and feet will look like small paddles, fingers are even beginning to form! Internally, the heart will have divided into left and right chambers and will be beating around 150 times a minute. The babies entire body will be beginning to uncurl and straighten.
